The Australian Institute of Physics (AIP) exists to support and represent professional physicists. We plan to host regular gatherings where physicists from industry and academia and students can meet to share their common interests and problem-solving skills. At each evening a few individuals will deliver a short presentation (10 minutes) of their activities for the interest of participants and to stimulate discussion.
These social gatherings will be complemented by refreshments, and are not restricted to members of the AIP. The first event is scheduled for Wednesday 24th October from 5:30 until 7:00 pm and will be held on the fifth floor of the UWA Physics building. If you, or any fellow physicist, wish to attend or make a presentation, please join us.
For catering purposes, please RSVP to John Hartnett, or phone 6488 3443.
